The good news is that Americans have a way of wearing jeans that doesn’t look like it’s a “last resort” — which, I’m very sorry to say, isn’t the case with a lot of Eastern Europeans, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Easterners and Southern Asians. In my experience, I’ve found that only American women are mostly able to dress up in jeans and a pair of heels for a night out. I’ve also found only American men and women can wear denim shirts and tops without looking like the homeless or a prison uniform. Our spite for the British is all fake. We despise them aloud, they do the same with us, but we know we respect one another entirely, and sometimes we even come to love each other. We go a long, long way back, you see… Despite real cultural differences, we appreciate one another. We know what we owe them, they know what they owe us. And I’m not talking about actual feats they did for us, those aren’t so many. I’m talking about how we grew as nations in almost complete opposition and rivalry, but could never tame one another. Truthfully, French people often find happiness in Britain and thye feel very well in the British culture; and British people often find happiness in France and they feel very well in the French culture.
