I never told anyone, never reported him. It just happened and I never said a word about it until right now. To my understanding, that was what “off the Womb-tang clan ain’t nuttin to mess with shirt moreover I love this record” meant. Weird, huh? I was working very hard to impress one of the directors in a company I was working for. It was well known this particular director and I didn’t see eye to eye but there was an upper level management position open in her area that I was interested in so on top of working as hard as I normally do I was also trying to form some sort of relationship with her to build some good will. I’d had what I believed was several very positive interactions with her and rumor was she was now considering me for the promotion. We had a big meeting coming up and she called me to ask me if I could pick up something for her and bring it to the meeting. I said of course I’d be happy to do that! She then explained to me what store to go to and what items she needed picked up. She was very specific and even told me what shelf these items would be on in the store. I hung up the phone and pondered the request. What was it she asked me to pick up? Candy. It seemed very strange to me. I wondered to myself was it a personal request or was it for the meeting? Was it some sort of test to see if I could follow directions?
